Guest Book Ideas

Wedding guest books are a great way to memorialize all the people who attended your day, but they are feeling more and more like a thing of the past. Our generation and the younger ones are all about digital platforms so something trivial like a book with some signatures will never be looked at again and probably thrown in the bin. But, still, it’s a cute token! So, how do we save it? Well, we need to revamp it! Many couples have been coming up with creative ideas to create a guest book in a way that can be shared and enjoyed for years to come and here are some of our favorites:

  1. Audio Guest Book - This has been BLOWING up and honestly, I wish it was a thing for my wedding! I would’ve loved to preserve my family member’s voices! Guests ‘ring’ in on a phone and leave a message for you to later transfer to a record, CD, or audio file.

  2. Corn Hole - Buy plain corn hole boards and have your guests sign their names and message on the wedding day. After, you can seal it and then enjoy for many, many years to come.

  3. Bucket List Ideas - My husband and I did this. We asked guests to sign a card and leave us bucket list ideas. Some of the items we got back was skydiving and swimming with dolphins (which we have yet to do!)

  4. Jenga Pieces - Buy a Jenga game and have guests sign a block. I love this idea because every time you play and pull a block, you’d be bound to read the message.

  5. Celestial Chart - Purchase a print of the night sky from the day you met, your wedding, or any other significant date and have guests sign the edge of it before framing it for your feature wall!

  6. River Rocks - Have a garden? Have guests sign a river rock for you to place around your garden!

  7. Coffee Table Books - Print your engagement photos in a book for guests to sign OR, if you are planning a destination wedding a coffee table book of the area you got married in!

  8. Music - Into records? Have guests sign the record or album cover for your wedding song! Or play an instrument, have guests sign a vintage guitar/instrument/case!
